PROPERTIES: Anti-tumor, Emollient, Nutritive, Rejuvinative.
Beet root is said to have antihepatotoxic effects. In animals tests the it has been used effectively to keep fat from depositing in the liver. This is probably due to the herb's concentration of betaine. Beet root has been used as supportive therapy in diseases of the liver and fatty liver.
Beets help to normalize the Ph of the body and serves as a blood builder.
Beets have been used successfully in a number of conditions, including, acne, anemia, cancer, constipation, diverticulitis, dysmenorrhea, hepatitis, hypoglycemia, leukemia, poor circulation, toxemia.
The primary constituents of Beets include, saponiside, phytosterol, betaine, leucine, tyrocine, betacyanin, beta carotene, manganese, potassium, iron.
Beet root supports and stimulates the liver, gallbladder and spleen and increases the flow of bile.
