A "squatter" has set up his hut on our property and he is farming cassava and yams. This is a common practice. If you have any undeveloped land, the squatters will come, burn and clear your land, then plant, tend, and harvest, and there is little you can do about it. The unspoken rule is that they are supposed to give you one-third of their harvest for the use of your land. They will then sell the rest at the market.
